Once I discovered that songwriting could help me stay grounded
in a world I did not always understand or relate to, I knew this was my purpose:
to channel my sensitivity & voice into something
meaningful & beautiful.
The very first song I wrote "Only Today"
was released on a compilation of the best London bands in 1995.
Coupled with the success of my first release "A Girl &. a 4-track"
I landed the opening spots for acts like
the Wild Strawberries, Crash Vegas and Jewel.
My way forward was clear.
In 2004, I won a FACTOR grant to record 2 songs, "Bandaid" and "Humbling".
My song "At the Cafe" was chosen for the closing scene of the
CBC Reflections short film Dorothy's Secret.
Recently, I won the bid to compose the theme music for an upcoming kids TV show.
In 2020, I auditioned to narrate an audiobook and have produced 30 books in the past year, grateful to have found a new channel for my voice.
This brings me to now.
Though the world is ever-changing and can feel chaotic and confusing,
singing & songwriting keeps me rooted in Truth,
guides me to breathe,
& reminds me that some things never change, like the need for
Beauty & Light & an honest Voice.
